Robe Shopping 101: Bamboo or Cotton?

We make two robes, and they're genuinely built differently — not just different colours of the same thing. Here's how to actually choose.

The Soft Robe is bamboo fabric — soft, stretchable, and lighter-weight. It's the one to reach for if you run warm, want something that moves easily when you're walking around the house, or you're layering it over something rather than wearing it as the main event. It's also naturally moisture-wicking, which matters more than people expect for something you might wear right out of the shower.

The Unisex Cotton Robe is a different proposition entirely: medium-thickness, non-stretch structure, and genuinely warmer. It's the one that works as an actual outer layer on a cooler evening, or if you just prefer something with a bit more structure and weight to it rather than something that moves like a t-shirt. It also comes with a small crescent moon embroidery detail that the bamboo version doesn't have.

A rough rule: if you want to feel wrapped up and warm, go cotton. If you want something breathable that barely feels like you're wearing anything at all, go bamboo. Both come in genuinely versatile neutral tones — soft blue for the bamboo, taupe and cream for the cotton — so the fabric, not the colour, should be what decides it.
