Infographic on unisex loungewear design: muted baby blue, sage green and soft pink, cotton robe with crescent moon embroidery

Why We Design Unisex Loungewear

A fair number of our pieces — the Unisex Cotton Robe, the Good Night Top, our cotton sleepwear shorts and pants — aren't labeled "womens" or "mens" at all. That's deliberate, not an oversight.

Loungewear is, by definition, what you wear when you've stopped performing for anyone. It's the layer between "dressed for the world" and "just existing at home." That moment doesn't really have a gender to it — comfort at the end of a long day looks the same regardless of who's wearing it.

There's a practical side too: robes especially tend to get shared. The one hanging on the back of the door doesn't usually stay claimed by one person for long — it's whoever's cold, whoever just got out of the shower, whoever grabbed it first. Designing it to genuinely fit and suit anyone from the start just matches how it actually gets used.

It's also why we kept the design details on these pieces simple and considered rather than leaning into a specifically "feminine" or "masculine" aesthetic — the small crescent moon embroidery on the cotton robe, the soft, muted colourways across baby blue, sage green, and soft pink. Details that feel good to wear, not statements about who's allowed to wear them.
