Satin has a reputation for being "special occasion" fabric — the thing you own one set of and save for good. We think that's selling it short.
Here's what satin actually does well, beyond looking good in photos:
It's smooth for a reason. Satin's tightly woven surface creates far less friction against skin and hair than most other fabrics. That's why you'll hear it recommended for pillowcases and sleepwear alike — less friction generally means less tugging, less creasing, and a genuinely more comfortable night.
It drapes instead of clinging. Unlike knit fabrics that hug every movement, satin moves with a bit of fluidity — which is part of why it can feel cooler and less restrictive to sleep in.
It elevates the everyday. There's something to be said for pyjamas that feel a little luxurious even when you're just making tea at 7am. Comfort and looking put-together aren't mutually exclusive.
The satin lineup is a genuinely easy place to start: the Satin Button Nightdress in Starry Blue for something breezy, or the matching Satin Pyjama Top and Satin Pyjama Pants in White if you're more of a set person.
